Why Fennoc

Keep track of what you came to do.

You pick up your phone to reply to someone, check a detail, or get something done. A notification catches your eye, and you forget why you picked it up.

Fennoc keeps reminders on your home screen when they’re due. Ask the fox for an answer, open the app you need, or get help working through a task one step at a time. Your apps stay available.

A home screen without notification badges

See a reminder when it’s due, along with Phone and Messages. You can also show your recent apps.

Texts and calls wait for your tap

Before a text or a call goes out, the fox shows it on a card. Nothing goes out until you tap. A reminder you add shows Undo for a few seconds.

Private by default

No ads, no data brokers, and no attention harvesting. Your voice turns into text on your phone. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.

Capabilities

Help with what you meant to do.

Ask for store hours, reply to a text, or set a reminder by voice or keyboard. For a task with several steps, ask the fox to guide you through it.

Voice or keyboard

Tap the fox to speak, or tap the keyboard icon to type.

Done means gone

A reminder appears on your home screen when it’s due. Tap Done to dismiss it, with a few seconds to undo. A missed reminder appears again the next day, then stops appearing automatically. Use Bring back to show it again.

Calls, texts, timers, and directions

“Text Sam I’m five minutes out.” “Set a 12-minute pasta timer.” “Directions to the hardware store.” Handled right from the Stage. Your phone understands these by itself, without Fennoc’s server.

Answers without the feed

Check the forecast, store hours, or a quick fact. The answer rises on a clean card, with no browser full of tabs.

Every Android app stays installed

Need your banking app, camera, or authenticator? Ask the fox to open it, or swipe up to see all your apps.

Guardrails you set yourself

Block the apps and sites that pull you in, during work hours or late at night. You choose the apps, sites, and hours. To loosen a guardrail, you wait 30 seconds first. Blocks apply on Fennoc’s home screen, app list, and browser. Included free.

No pile of tabs

Ask for help with a task, and the fox opens the page it needs. Finish and tap Done to close the task’s page.

The guide

For a job with several steps, the fox shows one step at a time. You tap “Done, next step” when you are ready for the next. Included in the paid plan.

With Fennoc

Support for following through

Work through a task one step at a time, and set limits around apps that distract you. Guardrails are free. The guide is in the paid plan.

The guide

Get help with one step at a time. Tap “Done, next step” when you are ready. When the job is done, its page closes.

The wait

Loosening a guardrail requires a 30-second wait. The ring here runs faster, to show the idea.

Guardrails

Start from a set such as Work hours or Bedtime. Tap Add, or Skip. You choose the apps, the sites and the hours.

Direct launch

How a turn works

Ask for what you need

  1. Tap and speak (or type)

Tap the fox to ask a question or give a command. You can also use the keyboard.

  2. Get an answer or take an action

Timers, alarms, directions, and app opens run on the phone at once. A call or a text waits for your tap. Web answers come back in seconds.

  3. Continue from your home screen

Read the answer or confirm the action. Phone and Messages stay within reach.

Founder note

Why Fennoc exists

I have ADHD and a demanding job. I want to live up to my potential and be present with my friends and family. But my phone still hooked me. I would pick it up to do one simple thing and end up scrolling.

I’ve read more productivity books than I can count and tried system after system. They would work for a few weeks, but I struggled to keep up with the weekly reviews, inboxes, and capture habits.

I started Fennoc because I wanted help following through on what I intended to do. I want to remember the call I need to make, get help with the next step when I’m stuck, and use my phone without losing track of what I came for. That’s what I’m building.

FAQ

Questions & Answers

Straight answers before you switch home screens.

Using it

What can I ask the fox?

Ask the way you would ask a person: “When does the hardware store close?”, “Set a timer for 10 minutes”, “Text Sam I’m running late”, “Open Music”. Timers, alarms, directions, and apps run right on the phone. A call or a text waits for your tap. Other questions come back as an answer.

Do I have to talk out loud?

No. Tap “Type” and write it instead. Fennoc has no wake word. It listens only when you tap the fox, when you hold the power button (if Fennoc is your phone’s assistant), or right after the fox asks you a question.

Can I still open any app?

Yes. Every app stays on your phone. Say “Open” and the app’s name, or open the full app list from the home screen and pick it.

How is it different from an app blocker?

App blockers restrict access to apps. Fennoc also provides answers, reminders, and step-by-step help with tasks. Guardrails are free. They block the apps and sites you choose on Fennoc’s home screen, app list, and browser. An app you open another way, such as from a notification, is not blocked.

Can I go back to my old home screen?

Yes, any time. In your phone’s Settings, search for “Home app” and pick your old one. Your apps and their data stay as they were.

Which phones does it work on?

Android phones running Android 14 or later. Apple does not allow custom home screens on iPhone, so Fennoc is Android only for now. You can join the iPhone waitlist.

Who can use Fennoc?

People 18 and older in the United States. Privacy laws set this age. The terms have the details.

Price

Is there a free version?

Yes, for as long as you like. At launch, you can also try full Fennoc free for 14 days. On the free tier, the calm home screen, on-device voice commands (timers, alarms, calls, texts, directions, opening apps), reminders, guardrails, Fennoc’s browser, and 10 questions for the fox each week are all included. See what Fennoc adds.

What do beta testers get?

The beta is free. If you join before launch, still use Fennoc as your home screen 14 days after you join, and answer a three-question survey at the end, you get Fennoc free for a year after launch. The free year is for the first 150 testers who qualify.

What happens if I stop paying?

You keep the free home screen, your reminders, and your guardrails. The fox still handles on-device commands, and you keep 10 questions for the fox each week.

How do I cancel?

In Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, then Fennoc. Cancel during the 14 free days and you pay nothing.

Privacy

Does my voice leave the phone?

No. Your voice turns into text on the phone, and the audio is not sent anywhere. When the phone understands a command by itself, such as a timer or “Open Music”, the words stay on the phone. Other requests send their words to Fennoc’s server. The privacy policy lists everything that is sent.

Does Fennoc read my email?

No. Fennoc does not ask to read your Gmail or any other email. When you sign in with Google, Fennoc receives your email address, so it knows which account is yours. If you allow calendar access, the home screen shows your next event. Your events stay on your phone. You can turn that off at any time in Android settings. The privacy policy lists what is sent.
